*How to obtain a California Guard Registration card
California Security Officers are regulated by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. All applicants must complete a course of training approved by BSIS. The applicant then undergoes a Livescan fingerprint background check to disclose any disqualifying criminal offenses. For more information on obtaining a guard registration card, go to

Fill out this form ( print it and take it to your local LIvescan facility.
Once all of the steps are completed, you will need to check the BSIS website for the status of your application. Once approved, you may print the temporary registration and work with it until you receive your permanent guard registration card.
