Guard West Security Services has client assignments in the Greater San Diego area, including Mira Mesa and La Jolla. Our clientele includes churches, strip malls and industrial facilities.
Guard West Security Services security officers are eligible for Medical and Dental insurance plans after 60-days of full-time employment. Employees also have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan.

Security Officer Positions Available
We’re seeking a few motivated individuals to staff client locations in the San Diego area.
- Unarmed officer pay range is $16-$18 per hour, and armed officer pay range is $19-$21 per hour.
- We offer varying schedules
- We offer health insurance after only 60 days
Requirements:
- Valid Guard Card issued by the State of California*
- Open shift availability, including weekends
- Reliable transportation

*How to obtain a California Guard Registration card
California Security Officers are regulated by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. All applicants must complete a course of training approved by BSIS. The applicant then undergoes a Livescan fingerprint background check to disclose any disqualifying criminal offenses. Take your Guard Card Training online!
Guard West Security Services does not endorse any particular company to use for taking the training, but there are many available. Just Google “California online guard card training” and select from one of the schools given. Once you complete the training, you will need to submit Livescan fingerprints. Fill out a Request for Life Scan Service, print it out, and take it to your closest Livescan facility.
Once all of the steps are completed, you will need to check the BSIS website for the status of your application. Once approved, you may print the temporary registration and work with it until you receive your permanent guard registration card.
